Join us for fine sake, hors d’ oeuvres and conviviality as we celebrate the holidays with an exhibition of plein air paintings of the Arts District, Little Tokyo and environs from a few of our most talented home-grown artists.
Chris Legaspi is a painter, lover and health nut. Influenced by California greats like Steve Huston and John Asaro, Chris continues the tradition of excellent draftsmanship, powerful design and innovative color. For more of his work visit: www.freshdesigner.com
Alexander Lee is a L.A. based illustrator and cartoonist. He graduated from RISD where he majored in illustration. He is currently working on a graphic novel that is about a coffee shop love story.
Born in Brazil, Brenno Kenji Kaneyasu has studied drawing and painting with Karl Gnass, Steve Huston, and Sunny Apinchapong. He is always striving to observe and study light, color, and atmosphere as it shapes and relates to people and their environment.
Shun Y. Xie is a local artist who’s passioante to do landscape and figure paintings in oil. His work is heavily influenced by his mentors Charles Hu, Glen Orbit, Sunny Apinchapong and Joseph Todorovitch.
